What the work is like
Detection software is judged on its record. A change to a rule has to be testable against history, reversible, and explainable to an examiner months later. That constraint shapes most engineering decisions here more than any framework choice does.
The domain is specific: sanctions and PEP screening, transaction monitoring, payment filtering, risk scoring, and the reporting formats a financial intelligence authority accepts. Nobody arrives knowing all of it.
